June 2016[edit]

Your recent editing history at Template:Seth MacFarlane shows that you are currently engaged in an edit war. To resolve the content dispute, please do not revert or change the edits of others when you are reverted. Instead of reverting, please use the article's talk page to work toward making a version that represents consensus among editors. The best practice at this stage is to discuss, not edit-war. See BRD for how this is done. If discussions reach an impasse, you can then post a request for help at a relevant noticeboard or seek dispute resolution. In some cases, you may wish to request temporary page protection.

Being involved in an edit war can result in your being blocked from editing—especially if you violate the three-revert rule, which states that an editor must not perform more than three reverts on a single page within a 24-hour period. Undoing another editor's work—whether in whole or in part, whether involving the same or different material each time—counts as a revert. Also keep in mind that while violating the three-revert rule often leads to a block, you can still be blocked for edit warring—even if you don't violate the three-revert rule—should your behavior indicate that you intend to continue reverting repeatedly. If this is a shared IP address, and you did not make the edits, consider creating an account for yourself so you can avoid further irrelevant notices.

@107.77.228.122, You don't get to make a revert and then discuss from "your version", you get to discuss from the consensus version whether the page should change. I personally have no dog in this fight, just trying to get you to talk instead of edit war. --Izno (talk) 17:50, 21 June 2016 (UTC) Well technically I don't want to talk about this issue, but the other editor is making something so small into something big. I'm just pointing out that there is a major difference with something that airs on television and on a website. 107.77.228.122 (talk) 17:57, 21 June 2016 (UTC)[reply]

You don't get a choice about whether you get to talk. You want to make a change, someone doesn't agree, that means you need to discuss on the talk page. As of now, you have broken the brightline rule of WP:3RR. Please cease and desist making edits to the main template page or I will report you to WP:AN3. Thanks. --Izno (talk) 18:46, 21 June 2016 (UTC)[reply]
