If you did not create this file yourself, you will need to specify the owner of the copyright. If you obtained it from a website, please add a link to the page from which it was taken, together with a brief restatement of the website's terms of use of its content. If the original copyright holder is a party unaffiliated with the website, that author should also be credited. Please add this information by editing the image description page.

If the necessary information is not added within the next days, the image will be deleted. If the file is already gone, you can still make a request for undeletion and ask for a chance to fix the problem.

The winner of the first Project Eurovision Cup is Jjj1238, who achieved an outstanding 108 points. Androptrnt finished in second place with 30 points, and Moldova96 in third with 15 points.

The second contest has begun, with participants from the first contest automatically registered. The EuroCup II will run from 1 April to 30 June, to allow people to get articles reviewed for GA or FA status. The aim of the competition is to help improve many of the articles within Project Eurovision that would have been otherwise left neglected, by carrying out as many objectives as possible. The more objectives you do, the more points you will earn. So have you got what it takes to be crowned winner of the next Project Eurovision Cup? Project members who wish to participate have until 18 April to sign up.

The third edition has begun and will run from 1 July to 30 September, allowing participants a reasonable amount of time to have their articles which they may have nominated for GA or FA status, to be reviewed. The aim of the competition is to help improve many of the articles within Project Eurovision that would have been otherwise left neglected, by carrying out as many objectives as possible. Unacceptable behaviour[edit]

Your behaviour in this edit is very unacceptable. Firstly, you should never use full upper case letters in any written context, as it is considered to be shouting, which is rude and can offend other editors and repeated behaviour like that can result in blocking sanctions. Always be respectful towards your fellow Wikipedians. Also the edit you made went against consensus. As was pointed out at Talk:Eurovision Song Contest 2016#Scoreboard table, the voting order has never been used on the scoreboard tables for contests post-2004. Following a project community discussion, which was raised over the use of English translation columns on annual contest articles, and advice from the lead coordinator of The Guild of Copy Editors, who are extremely knowledgeable in regards to all editing practises and manual of style policies. A consensus decision has been reached to fully remove ALL English translations, as such content falls under the prohibition on original research, even if it seems helpful to the reader. This is because we have now to assume that every reader has access to automated translation tools that can always give them a sense of the meaning of the title in their native language; it is not Wikipedia's job to provide those tools for the reader. Which therefore means we are no longer to include an English translation column, nor are we to provide translation by any other means on contest articles.

Such information is currently in the process of being removed, and a new table formatting and layout style is being rolled out across all articles. Please view the new guidance on table layout at Wikipedia:WikiProject Eurovision/Format and Guides#Article layout. At the moment, you appear to be adding the year-end peaks for Germany. Please make sure you add the correct date format for the page you're on, so January 1, 2017 for American artists and 1 January 2017 for British artists. Paragraph style[edit]

I noticed that you changed the written style at Eurovision Song Contest 2017#Returning artists (as shown in this edit). You may not have noticed in the edit summary prior to your change, but I had already corrected the paragraph style two-hours previously. When presenting the returning artist section and in order to aim towards good article and feature article standards, we need to present the prose in continuous paragraph format, and avoid splitting the section into small pieces dedicated to each individual artist/group. I have therefore restored the section back to its original version. It would be appreciated in future if you could help to maintain the high standard on these articles. Thank you. Russian errors[edit]

Just a couple of errors that I've had to revert. In this first error you changed the number of entries from 21 to 20. This was actually incorrect. Sergey was the 21st. The number of entries in that column never increases until the contest has ended. Your second error was removing not only the table legend to provide information on the colours used, but you also removed the withdrawal/disqualified field for 2017. Manual of style when dealing with an entry that was chosen but later withdrawn is to highlight in green. If a country withdrew without selecting (like Bosnia in 2017) then no colour is used. (edit conflict) And just when I thought that article couldn't be in more of a mess, I've now noticed that some 2017 countries have been updated with the 2017 entry, and some have not. This now means having to go through each country article one-by-one and manually count them so the column is accurate. We have never in all the years of the project being around, updated the entry column with the current year until that contest has ended. I can see exactly when you updated the column, and way too soon. Even though eurovision.tv don't account that appearance, on our article the column is about "entries" not "appearances". So all of the pre-qualifications (1993 and 1996) are included as the country had selected an entry. On the respective country articles, the infobox uses "appearances", those do not include 1993 and 1996, unless they actually appeared on the televised stage. I cannot be bothered wasting my time having to recount them all. So seeing as you updated the column a little too soon, then you can sort out the mess. Before adding voting tables into the 2017 country articles, at least check the edit history fort them all. They have been removed previously, as it is WP:TOOSOON for them. WikiProject Eurovision waits until the contest has ended before adding those tables. Any nested tables that contain WP:CRYSTAL content is best avoided. October 2017[edit]

National final vs internal selection[edit]

Hi, can you please explain why you made this edit? I've been seeing this more frequently and it doesn't seem accurate. In my mind, there can only be one process; either a national final selects the entrant or it's done internally. A network picking the songs and/or performers for a national final doesn't make it an internal selection because the entrant is still selected via a final.
