A question[edit]

Hello, Georgos ;)

I noticed you edit alot of Georgian-related topics including the ones on the Persian Wikipedia, and I was wondering whether you could make it possible so that we get the image of Imam-Quli Khan Gorji used here on the Persian Wikidia [1] on the English Wikipedia? It would be a great addition for a notable Georgian commander.

Regards - LouisAragon (talk) 22:53, 2 May 2015 (UTC)[reply]

Hi Louis. That image is Available in wikimedia.

Hello Georgos, for some reason I wasn't able to add it here on Imam Quli-Khans's page. Weird... I will try so again then later today, maybe I did something wrong. Thanks for your resposne. - LouisAragon (talk) 16:56, 5 May 2015 (UTC)[reply]
Γεωργός; do you speak and understand Persian? If so, could you perhaps create or translate some articles regarding Iranian Georgians into English? Notable people, etc? Unfortunately I can't read and write it, so I am forced to ask you this, unfortunately.
- LouisAragon (talk) 01:32, 18 May 2015 (UTC)[reply]

Hi Louis. Yes, I speak and Undrestand Persian, but I cant translate from Persian to English. This is an example of my Persian to English translation: The word "Allah"s statue in Georgian scripts made by Municipality of Fereydunshahr to be installed in a Square in Fereydunshahr. First installing time, the statue not installed because of opposition of Lurs and second time (after 120 days), installed, but only for hours at night, uninstalled and then moved out of city

and now is is edited as: The word "Allah" in Georgian scripts forming a statue (left) made by the Municipality of Fereydunshahr to be installed in a square in Fereydunshahr (right). On the first installation attempt, the statue was not installed because of opposition from the Lurs. 120 days later, it was installed, but only for a few hours at night, then taken down and moved out of the city.[

Haha, ok! Thanks for your response. I didnt get any notification, so excuse me for my very belated reply. Are you a Georgian from Iran, btw? I just created this article as of some seconds ago, mostly just a google translate (and based off my own skills in Persian; I cant write and read it, but can speak it well) and I wondered whether you could check it with its original on the Farsi wiki to see if it has any major fallacies. If this aint too much asked for ofc. If you think its about right, that'll be a good confirmation. In the worst scenario, if you think you cant compare them, I can ask some Wiki users who live in Iran and who study English. Bests and take care! :-) - LouisAragon (talk) 06:08, 30 November 2015 (UTC)[reply]

Hello. Thanks for this article. We are Georgians Ethnicly and we have Iranian passport. I dont know English very well and I cant compare that with its Persian version very well but I guess that it is true. Its better to ask Persian speakers who know English very well to compare that. Spell of the persian name "جمشید" is diffrent in Persian and Georgian. In Persian is Jamshid and in Georgian is Jemshid.Γεωργός (talk) 14:31, 12 January 2016 (UTC)[reply]

Regional vs minority[edit]

Why did you change it to regional? [2]. Curious to hear your rationale. All the best - LouisAragon (talk) 22:28, 3 January 2017 (UTC)[reply]

Hi because Georgian Language is an regional spoken language like Tati language during 400 years in iran.

Dorood dadash, thanks for your edits on this article. I understand that Abdulq'apar Amilakhvari is the literal Georgian transliteration of Abd-ol-Ghaffar Amilakhori. However, the sources state that he was mentioned as Anduqapar in the then contemporary Georgian sources.

  • "One of Emamqoli Khan's daughters, who was married to Abd al-Gaffar (Anduqapar in Georgian sources) Amilakhori – one of the most powerful Kartlian nobles (...)" -- Floor, W.; Herzig, Edmund. (2012). Iran and the World in the Safavid Age. I.B.Tauris. p. 484

Your thoughts?

Sepas, - LouisAragon (talk) 00:18, 20 July 2018 (UTC)[reply]

Hi. The best edition ever. Good luck.
I just fixed it. - LouisAragon (talk) 17:31, 20 July 2018 (UTC)[reply]

Dorood Γεωργός. Hope you're doing well. I just created this tiny "article". Are there more famous "Khudsiani's" whose articles you could translate from Fa.Wiki to Eng.Wiki? - LouisAragon (talk) 19:17, 10 March 2019 (UTC)[reply]

Hi. Yes. w:fa:علی خودسیانی is a writer, screenwriter, and director.

Would you be willing to translate that article to the English Wikipedia? - LouisAragon (talk) 21:22, 14 March 2019 (UTC)[reply]

Hamidreza Sheshjavani moved to draftspace[edit]

An article you recently created, Hamidreza Sheshjavani, does not have enough sources and citations as written to remain published. It needs more citations from reliable, independent sources. (?) Information that can't be referenced should be removed (verifiability is of central importance on Wikipedia). I've moved your draft to draftspace (with a prefix of "Draft:" before the article title) where you can incubate the article with minimal disruption. When you feel the article meets Wikipedia's general notability guideline and thus is ready for mainspace, please click on the "Submit your draft for review!" button at the top of the page.
