History[edit]

A Southport based private investment firm, Trio Fund I CT Portfolio, purchased a package of six CT Agway stores which operate under the name Smithland Supply for $10.5 million in September of 2022.^[1]

Smithland later expanded into Massachusetts, after buying 5 locations from another local Agway dealer Daves Soda & Pet City on October 3rd 2019. ^[2]
