Raptoreum (RTM) is a decentralized, open-source[1], Proof or Work blockchain, that allows for asset creation, futures, and smart contracts, while remaining immune to 51% double spend attacks.[2][3]
GhostRider[edit]
Raptoreum uses a consensus mechanism called GhostRider, which is a modified version of Proof-of-Work (PoW). GhostRider is designed to be ASIC- and FPGA-resistant, making it more accessible to miners with regular CPUs and GPUs.
The GhostRider algorithm is more energy-efficient than traditional PoW algorithms.[4]
Key features[edit]
- ASIC- and FPGA-resistant GhostRider algorithm
- Smart contract platform
- Built-in asset creation platform
- Futures market
- Privacy-focused messaging system[5][6]
