Crossing of the Danube (1481)[edit]

In the spring of 1481 the sudden news was heard that powerful Sultan Mehmed 2 the Conqueror died, After Sultans death conflicts began in the Empire, Discords in the Ottoman empire were used by the Hungarians to attack.

The Christian force began to cross the Danube near the town of Hram. The task of Despot Vuk was to protect the crossing of the army across Danube with the help of ships. Having performed that task, The Despot had the conflict with Turkish boats, in the direct battle he managed to have 24 Turkish boats sunk. Afterwards, he was attacked by Smederevo Duke Skender, but the Turkish attempt was also crashed, and Skender barely managed to stay alive,
