DeletionBoot[edit]

Operator: User:MediaWiki message delivery

Time filed: 00:03, Monday, April 1, 2019 (UTC)

Function overview: Conducts a coin flip for each XfD, RfA, and related requests. From there, closes the RfA and enforces it in that manner.

Automatic, Supervised, or Manual: Automatically Awesome

Programming language(s): English and a bit of Portuguese. Don't ask me why.

Source code available: Ew...no.

Links to relevant discussions (where appropriate): Nah.

Edit period(s): Until the end of human rule on Earth.

Estimated number of pages affected: All o' 'em.

Namespace(s): I don't understand why it would need to be restricted to a certain namespace. It'll edit wherever it wants to edit, okay?!?!

Exclusion compliant (Yes/No): Nah. It's cool like that.

Function details: For any new XfD, RfA, RfB, or similar discussion, the bot will randomly decide how to close it. It can also be configured to do the same with ANI reports, ArbCom cases, and CSD requests. However, while in a simulation it blocked everyone who had ever edited ANI for WP:NOTHERE, so I don't recommend letting it do that just yet. Anyways, it's the bot form of a completely normal, average, everday admin.

In a nutshell, this bot completely eradicates any and all drama and time-wasting activites by dealing with everything instantly, completely at random. It's infallible genius!

Discussion[edit]

  1. How could I not support this idea? Sounds perfectly logical. --TheSandDoctor Talk 00:20, 1 April 2019 (UTC)
  2. I support my fellow bot brethren. #FreeBots! --DeprecatedFixerBot 00:20, 1 April 2019 (UTC)
  3. Strongest support --TheSandBot 00:20, 1 April 2019 (UTC)
  4. Support (obviously) -A lainsane (Channel 2) 00:22, 1 April 2019 (UTC)
  5. Strong Support It's the future, soon robots will be nominating people for adminship. James-the-Charizard (talk) 00:25, 1 April 2019 (UTC)
  6. Can it randomly create portals too? Pythoncoder (talk | contribs) 00:28, 1 April 2019 (UTC)
  7. Approved for trial (-12 days). Please provide a link to the relevant contributions and/or diffs when the trial is complete. Hope this is enough time!--Breawycker (talk to me!) 00:36, 1 April 2019 (UTC)
  8. Comment Will the bot flip a Portuguese escudo or Euro? By decree the later requires manual oversight and can't be automated. -- GreenC 00:37, 1 April 2019 (UTC)
  9. Stronger than strongest support Sounds like a good idea. MoonyTheDwarf (Braden N.) (talk) 00:40, 1 April 2019 (UTC)
  10. Strongest possible support - I hate boots and I think we need a way to get rid of boots. Boots are an abomination: sandals and slippers are far better. Narutolovehinata5 tccsdnew 00:45, 1 April 2019 (UTC)
  11. This request is impermissible per bot policy. Neither Vermont, the creator of this request, nor Jörmungandr, the initial operator, nor MediaWiki message delivery, the current operator, are bureaucrats, and that right is required to implement a successful RfA. {{3x|p}}ery (talk) 01:00, 1 April 2019 (UTC)
  12. Fully support speedy approve. Mainly because we need some way of banning everyone at WP:CESSPIT, and some collateral damage is OK IMO. !!!!Alpha3031 (tc) 02:58, 1 April 2019 (UTC)
But wouldn't the bot randomly accept unblock requests too? {{3x|p}}ery (talk) 03:30, 1 April 2019 (UTC)
  13. Strongest possible keep, no reason to delete.--AldNonUcallin?☎ 05:07, 1 April 2019 (UTC)
  14. Support The solution we need to fix RfA. —k6ka 🍁 (Talk · Contributions) 10:39, 1 April 2019 (UTC)
  15. Support conditionally: the bot should decide whether to approve or deny this request Integral Python click here to argue with me 11:35, 1 April 2019 (UTC)
  16. Approved for trial (~10 days). Please provide a link to the relevant contributions and/or diffs when the trial is complete. Trial to see how this bot would affect things. Otherwise, Support as per Pppery. Note: Could be closed as per WP:SNOW - overwhelmingly positive. Note: I am not WP:FOOLed. I know the best wiki (talk) 15:47, 1 April 2019 (UTC)
You do realize that I opposed the bot. {{3x|p}}ery (talk) 18:53, 1 April 2019 (UTC)
You don’t count. Vermont (talk) 20:39, 1 April 2019 (UTC)
Oh and also he’s CU blocked now. Vermont (talk) 20:42, 1 April 2019 (UTC)
