The Second Ararat Operation or the Second Ararat Uprising was a military operation carried out between September 13-20, 1927, prepared upon the request of the 3rd Army Inspectorate and the approval of the Chief of General Staff to suppress the Kurdish forces on Mount Ararat.

In 1929, a number of uprisings broke out in various parts of Eastern and Southeastern Anatolia in order to support the main uprising planned in the Ağrı region, to draw the attention of the state to various regions, to cause as few forces as possible to be sent to Ağrı and thus to make the rebellion planned to be launched in Ağrı successful. The uprising of May 22, 1929 by Ali Resul, the chief of the Jilyan tribe, was suppressed on August 3, 1929. On September 14, 1929, the Tendürük uprising was suppressed on September 27, 1929, and the Iranian tribal chief Sheikh Abdülkadir and his entourage fled to Iran. On May 20, 1930, the events in the Midyad-Savur region ended on June 9, 1930 with the capture of Kernoslu Halit, Seyit Han and Alican gangs. The rebellion of Kör Hüseyin and Emin Paşa sons on June 20, 1930 was suppressed in September. In addition, Sheikh Barzani in Iraq sent a group of 500 people led by Mullah Hussein Sharif across the Iraqi border to Şat Mountain, 15 km. east of Oramar, which caused the state to send forces to the Oramar region and the operation that started on July 16 ended on October 10, 1930. The Mullah Hussein Sharif gang was forced to seek refuge in Iraq again.
