Using AWB to create articles[edit]

  1. Create a list of articles and store it in a text file (say list.txt).
  2. Log in to AWB
  3. Choose the option "text file" in the box "Make from".
  4. Click "make list" and select the file "list.txt".
  5. Load the following settings:

(Either manually or from an xml file). - Prepend text: This contains the text for the article. - Disable Typos, Gen fixes and auto tag -To skip already existing articles enable "skip if contains" and enter some character which is bound to be present in any article (my choice is 'i') (Note: This will not be required once the option "skip existing pages" is aviailable.[1]

  1. Enable "Auto save" once you are sure that the contents are ok.

Start creating the articles!!

Limitations

- Coordinates or other numerical data cannot be entered

How sumibot works
  1. I've created a "list file" for every district in India.
  2. I modify the settings file "bot.xml" for each district and run the bot.
