Stephen Xu (Chinese name: simplified Chinese: 许一方; traditional Chinese: 許一方; pinyin: Xǔ Yīfāng).
Born on December 16, 1987 in Shanghai, China.
Named after one of Qiong Yao's romance novels, Zai Shui Yi Fang (Chinese: 在水一方; pinyin: Zài Shuǐ Yī Fāng, later made into a TV series of the same name), which in turn had its name taken from a poem from the Book of Odes.
Immigrated to Calgary, Alberta, Canada on November 30, 1990, adopting the given name Stephen.
Colloquially fluent in Mandarin and Shanghainese.
Attending the University of Waterloo, majoring in Actuarial science.
