Preseason[edit]

Seattle's preseason was broken up into four stages. The team started in southern California, then moved to Seattle, then to Argentina, and then finished back in Seattle.

In its first ever exhibition game against the Los Angeles Galaxy, Sounders FC beat the Galaxy 3-1. Fredy Montero, Roger Levesque and Sanna Nyassi all scored goals in the win.
