HISTORY[edit]
The institution was set up in 29th March of 1991 by the decision number 75 of the Congress of Ministers of republic of Uzbekistan as Namangan branch of Tashkent automotive institution. Namangan industry and technology institute was converted into Namangan Engineering and pedagogy institute due to the decision number 77 signed by Congress of Ministers of republic of Uzbekistan about establishing academic lyceums and management of their operation's in 24th February 1998. Due to the decision PQ-2909 of the President of the Republic of Uzbekistan methods of improving the tertiary education’ in 20th April 2017, Namangan Engineering and pedagogy institute was re-established as Namangan Engineering and construction institute.
Faculties[edit]
The university trains Bachelors in 11 directions of education and Masters in 13 specialties. For 50 years, the university has trained over 30,000 engineers, both holders of bachelor's and master's degrees. Among its graduates there are more than 150 Doctors of Science and Candidates of Science. In the Tashkent University of Information Technologies there are six faculties:
