Welcome to the proposed The Rolling Stones WikiProject!

This page and its subpages will contain suggestions and proposals to further enhance the knowledge and awareness of the British rock band, The Rolling Stones, and improve the quality of the articles relating to them. It is hoped that this project will help to focus the efforts of other Wikipedians.

The Rolling Stones is one of music's most important and influential bands. They pioneered the gritty, hard-driving blues-based rock & roll that came to define hard rock in the late 1960's and left an astounding and permanent influence on many of today's modern music styles to include Rock & Roll, Blues-Rock, Hard Rock, Pop-Rock, Pop, Psychedelia and others. Their sound and look is instantly recognizable. They have had record sales of well over ### albums, eleven number one albums, fourteen number one singles, #### number one DVD's and two grammy awards to date.

This WikiProject aims to improve the coverage of this legendary band on Wikipedia.
