"Second Contact" is the first episode of the American television series Star Trek: Lower Decks, which is set around the time of events post Star Trek: Nemesis. The episode was written by Mike McMahan, and was directed by Barry J. Kelly.
Tawny Newsome stars as Becket Mariner, Jack Quaid as Brad Boimler, Noel Wells as D'vana Tendy and Eugene Cordero as Sam Rutherferd, all ensigns on the USS Cerritos.
Other Series regulars; Dawn Lewis as captain Carol Freeman, Jerry O'Connell as commander Jack Ransom, Fred Tatasciore as leutanant Shax, and Gillian Vigman as Dr. T'Ana
"Second Contact" became available on CBS All Access on August 6, 2020. The episode holds the lowest rating in the first season on iMDB,[1] and recieved mixed reviews from critics.
