VandalProof

Thanks for the authorization! However, I think you forgot to add the newly approved-users' names to the list JianLi 14:34, 24 August 2006 (UTC)

Ahh great, you're online! I have 1.2.2 (by installing the zip I got 1.2, and by installing the exe I got 1.2.2...where can i get 1.3?) JianLi 15:33, 24 August 2006 (UTC)
I see. Well, I'm still getting the unsuccessful log-in message. Also, I usually use Mozilla Firefox rather than Internet Explorer. JianLi 15:42, 24 August 2006 (UTC)
That's strange. I am logged in, because I went to #2 and I can see my username at the top of wikipedia pages within the vandalproof browser. And my cookies are enabled, too. JianLi 15:48, 24 August 2006 (UTC)
Hmm..seems like I'm cursed. My name is correct. And under the failed log-in message, it even says "Welcome to VandalProof, JianLi!" And I've set my IE options to "accept all cookies". JianLi 15:54, 24 August 2006 (UTC)

Yep, instead of the (yellowish?) failed log-in message I got a reddish message with the stop sign. JianLi 16:05, 24 August 2006 (UTC)

Sorry for all this trouble. I just don't know what's wrong. I have Windows XP, IE 6.0, javascript, and monobook. I first downloaded the 1.2 zip file, ran setup, and installed everything but TABCTL32.OCX because I already had it. I downloaded the 1.2.2 exe, and ran it from the desktop. Is there anything here that could have messed it up? JianLi 17:25, 24 August 2006 (UTC)

VandalProof Mac

Hello Prodego. I recently, under the request a feature section, asked to be added to tbe "list of requesters for a Mac OSX version." Today you left me a message saying "You have now been added to the list of authorized users." I looked through the links and could not see any signs for a Mac OSX version. Has one come out since or was there some sort of misunderstanding? Let me know and thank you for your reply. Mkdw 04:37, 24 September 2006 (UTC)

AWB

Hi, could you tell me why was I rejected and not approved on the AWB?

Thanks for the approval and everything. Your browser is wondaful. It works perfectly now, I had just a little problem with the .Net Framework 2.0 at first but searched through google:WP and found the discussion about the problem, fixed it and voilà, comme par magie (like magic). Lincher 20:18, 25 August 2006 (UTC)
BTW, your Userpage is kickass. I had to mention it. Have fun on WP. ;-) Lincher 20:19, 25 August 2006 (UTC)

Admin coaching

Thanks for signing up! As you asked to be able to chose trainees, can I check if you'd be willing to help coach Asterion? You can see the note from that user at the bottom of my talk page. Petros471 11:06, 26 August 2006 (UTC)

Your fellow coach will be Mysekurity. I was leaving the formal assignment for a bit until Asterion got back from holiday (per note on my talk page) but might as well do it now and let you get started asap. Anything else you need/want to know? Petros471 17:31, 27 August 2006 (UTC)
That is fine. I appreciate your help. I'm still abroad, back in England tomorrow but will have to catch up with my day job stuff, so my wiki time will be reduced somehow too :( I'm also bringing back a small ton of photos and a long to-do list of related articles to start (yes, I'm sad). Cheers, E Asterion u talking to me?
Thanks. I noticed it, I'm writing my introduction now. Sorry for the delay. E Asterion u talking to me? 21:20, 1 September 2006 (UTC)

RE:Essjay's monobook

Just as the bar came up, I was doing the refresh to solve it myself! Thanks anyway :) —Xyrael / 19:36, 26 August 2006 (UTC)

My VP Application

I know that I don't meet the Mainspace edits requirements, but I applied thinking that when you were going to see that I am still very implicated in discussions in Wikipedia and such. What-ever. --Deenoe 14:17, 27 August 2006 (UTC)

re: Hello Again

Indeed! It's been quite some time. Enjoy your vacation, and see ya September 2. Keep it amazing. -Mysekurity 02:15, 28 August 2006 (UTC)

Just kidding, of course. ;) Master of Puppets The Walrus! 22:51, 1 September 2006 (UTC)

He already knows that; I told him.

See his talk page, "RfAery". 68.39.174.238 22:13, 1 September 2006 (UTC)

He stated a backup option was if it passed to just wait untill I registered and then bring it into effect. 68.39.174.238 22:22, 1 September 2006 (UTC)
I don't know exactly his motive, but I suspect he knew it wasn't likely to work straight up, or he had other ideas... 68.39.174.238 22:27, 1 September 2006 (UTC)

VP tech problem?

I know it is a bit old... but is there still a problem? —— Eagle (ask me for help) 23:53, 1 September 2006 (UTC)

(From Help Desk)

Could you explain how to change the "You have new messages (last change)" template so it appears differently for me? Thanks. -- TheGreatLlama (speak to the Llama!) 18:53, 2 September 2006 (UTC)

I'd like the text to be quite strange, like "Y'all got a [[User talk:Llama man|Llama-gram]]! (I don't really need the "last change" link there). Yeah, that'll do. Same background color and border, though. -- TheGreatLlama (speak to the Llama!) 19:43, 2 September 2006 (UTC)
Precisely, I would like it to say: "You've got a [[User talk::Llama man|llama-gram]]! (Last llama-gram), with "Last llama-gram" linking to wahere "last change" would. -- TheGreatLlama (speak to the Llama!) 01:18, 4 September 2006 (UTC)

Message

Here you go!

PS: for future reference you can use

GeorgeMoney (talk) 22:59, 2 September 2006 (UTC)

Ah, I think you can do it the way people change the wording of tabs. Like:
(You might not have asked for this, but I am just suggesting to try it)
addOnloadHook(function(){ document.getElementsByClassName("usermessage").innerHTML = "foo";});

but I don't know if that will work. GeorgeMoney (talk) 23:07, 2 September 2006 (UTC)

Here you go! I can do it as many times as you want, you know. GeorgeMoney (talk) 23:13, 2 September 2006 (UTC)
BTW that code is JS. GeorgeMoney (talk) 23:18, 2 September 2006 (UTC)
