Profile

I belong to an emigré family in Argentina with a very mixed background. I am in fact 25 % Gascon and 25% Tiroler from my father's whereas 25 % Arbëresh and 25 % Maniatis from my mother's.

From my paternal side I am 6th. generation immigrants and my ancestors originated from Gironde in the Aquitaine region, France as well as Südtirol in Padania, present Northern Italy.

From my maternal side instead I am only 3rd. generation immigrants from the Abruzzi in Southern Italy and the Mesa Mani in Laconia, Greece.

I am a Lawyer with a Ph.D in Political Science. My doctoral thesis was developped analizing the political spectrum during the first goverment period after the restoration of democracy in Argentina (1983-1989).

Interests

My main interests are Ancient History and International Politics as well as Ethnology and Anthropology; these two applied in particular to comparative folklore, immigration and decolonization processes throughout history.

Hobbies

I am a retired amateur boxer who competed for about ten years. I consider Cassius Clay as the greatest fighter I have ever seen. Alternatively I practized fencing and rowing as well. I am also a Football fanatic. My most be-loved team in the world is Boca Juniors and my favourite player is Zinedine Zidane.

Languages

I can speak, read and write in English, Spanish, French, Greek and Italian. In addition, I may also communicate myself in German, Albanian, Portuguese and Turkish.
