Hi, my name is Christopher J. Parker

I have recently submitted my Ph.D Thesis: 'The Principal Works of Frederic H. Cowen (1852-1935)' to the Department of Music, University of Durham, U.K. (supervised by Prof. Jeremy Dibble), where I have been studying the composer since 2000, having previously gained M.Mus and BA (hons) degrees in Music from the University of Liverpool.

My revision of the article on Frederic H. Cowen takes into account facts unknown to both the New Grove Dictionary and the Encyclopaedia Britannica, including several previously unknown or forgotten works, but which can be verified by examination of other documents in the public domain or at the British Library and the Royal College of Music.
