David H. Hunt, aka Papi (Papology). 'Early life' His Heritage, Backwoods, Country born Melungeon Indian of Eastern Tennessee. (US Veteran) and member of the “Big Horn Mountain Men”, who travel throughout California, Nevada, Arizona, Utah, and Montana recreating the mountain man period, 1800-1840. Attended Santa Monica College for Arts and Entertainment Technology in Santa Monica California, background work includes Theatrical Arts, Video and sound editing (Final Cut Pro and Pro-tools) marketing, advertising, sales and promotion, representing major corporations at trade shows, conventions, and various business functions, consideration for work experience knowledge.
Papi attends Adult Space Camp in Huntsville Alabama every year. A Space flight adventurer has joined the Space Academy ambassador team. David received his certificate in recognition of completing the requirements for the U.S. SPACE ACADEMY an intense curriculum in space exploration, aerospace technology, leadership and team building skills, as applied to this nation’s space and rockery programs. David also acquired a Certificate of completion, for multi-rotor Drone Flight training.
David/Papi worked as an educational tour guide at Knott’s Berry Farm, A national and International tour guide, that recently return from Shanghai China 2006-2010, and the World Expo, in Shanghai China, and has worked 15 years as a tour guide 1998-2013 and presents a one man theatrical show in the past for Star-line tours of Hollywood. David/Papi also is a private tour guide with a class B California Drivers license /writer that entertains, and get to know people on a personal and one to one relationship for 5 ½ Hrs, as a test to his books and plays he has written over the years. Papi’s use of his creative license to (entertain) on factual content (News) about Los Angeles, and the Hollywood Movie community, adapting the changing times of these communities on my tour, with a fine amount of American Humor, meaning engagement in the moment when presented. (vessel’s of opportunity) provided we can laugh at ourselves with the fullness of appreciation, an appetite for life, and American Humor.
David shares his photographs and written word and DVD in the grand tour book “Hooray for Hollywood” and Los Angeles. It’s a memorable look you can share with your friends back home about your adventures of discovery here in Hollywood on the grand city tour of Los Angeles. (City of the Angels) David continues with his citizen journalism as a travel guide author.
In the past Papi obtained support for a creative cultural arts and crime prevention program for gang children who capitalized on their talent as the “New Horizons” (a Pepsi sponsored, and corporate-sponsored promotional performing arts roller skating team -
David worked for NBC Studios, dept of studio engineering as a cameraman in Burbank California, and various cable outlets throughout Los Angeles as a studio engineer - camera, audio, remote locations, staging/props, lighting, floor manager, graphics, assistant to the director, and director.
David/Papi produced his own talk/variety show entitled "All around Town", overseeing financing, writing, art design, and talent.

A nascent playwright of “Hooked Special Delivery” and “Funny How We Look at Each Other”, produced by La Mamma Theatre in Los Angeles. “Bloods of Color” his current project have the blessings of the late Kermit Hunter, an American playwright known primarily for writing historical outdoor dramas was pleased regarding my revised version about the “Melungos/Melungeon People” free people of color, their journey of resistance from being oppressed, had become a testament to their determination and will during those days that wanders through time and borders. These early examples of Melungos/Melungeons and show how extensive and intertwined the relationships between themselves, Native Americans, blacks, white and European ethnicities, were, before racial designation became of paramount importance in the U.S.
