OnceBitten is an alternative screen name for a current Wikipedian. Not a sock puppet (or sockpuppet) which is used as a tool to bolster ones Wiki-Experience and win arguments or attack on behalf the master name, think of "OnceBitten" as the backlit "me".

Why a backlit user? Because there are Wikipedians who will openly attack other Wikipedians under their screen name and through their minions. I am not interested in getting into no-win arguments with Wikipedians or their sock puppets or being stalked in real life again by a Wikipedian who exhibited borderline personality traits.

OnceBitten will simply document these instances through non-confrontational facts. OnceBitten will look at text, edit patterns and shared similarities, present the information and allow others to make their decisions as to, or against the involvement pattern.

OnceBitten will also participate in Request for Comment's (RfC) where personalities magically appear, and then vaporize simply to track the changes and report on the tracking. I also reserve the right to comment on structure of an RfC if I find the process is unclear, cluttered or otherwise out of control.

I believe that every Wikipedian is due the courtesy and right to a clear statement of the problem, a concise and easy to follow documentation exhibit, and the right to respond to the RfC. It is counter productive to all parties when the problem is addressed, the examples are provided, the user with the RfC responds only to be met with a whole host of additional issues that place the RfC subject into a no win position.

Wikipedians who feel that they are being tried in a Wiki-Kangaroo Court can contact me for comment. I am not an Admin, I can only only offer general guidence. I stand for the fairness in the process, never as a tool for revenge.

The purpose of an RfC is to comment, document and resolve issues, not blood sport at someone elses expense. This is a rule that I feel needs to be applied to both sides involved with an RfC.
