In 2003 I published "A Dog Called Blue" (ADCB). In part, this was a history of the Australian Cattle Dog and the Australian Stumpy Tail Cattle Dog. In the twenty years since ADCB was written our online Internet historical resources have grown from almost nil to excellent. "A Dog for the Job" (ADJ) shows the ADCB version of breed history to be incorrect and fanciful. ADJ presents an entirely different history, substantiated by historical records.
