You have reached the userpage of Nobleeagle. I've been associated with Wikipedia since January 2005 as an anonymous user, but only joined in March 2006 (sounds hard to believe doesn't it, but it's true). The reasons for joining was mainly that I wanted to get involved in WikiProjects and since I was getting heavily involved in Wikipedia, I wanted a proper talk page and a proper user page.

About the Username[edit]

The username Noble Eagle comes from the mascot of the Roman Empire, the eagle. I was particularly interested in the Roman Empire ages ago and see its symbol, the eagle, as an image of power and strength, a way one can describe the Roman Empire. Therefore, I consider the eagle the Noblest of birds.

The colours of my signature: Nobleeagle come from the colours of the West Coast Eagles, they're not my favourite Australian Football League team but I used their colours nonetheless. The colours, for those that have problems with their browser. The colours are navy blue and yellow.

Long Term Goals[edit]

This is where I keep myself aware of my own long term goals, mostly used so that I don't forget what I have to do.

Goal: Get Indian cricket team to FA Status.

Started: 1 April 2006
Status {April 15 2006): It's been nominated as a good article and is likely to get it. A bit more work required on India at the Cricket World Cup and the History section should do it.

Goal: Get Power in international relations and related articles to be seen as decent articles.

Started: Since the dawn of time
Status {April 15 2006): Regional power, Superpower and Emerging Superpowers looks better, but don't see an end to it yet.
Status (April 25 2006): The articles are now stable and gradually increasing in an organized way. But Power in international relations, Great power and Hyperpower are simply messes.

Goal: Get Bollywood to FA status.

Started: Not yet but am observing the article
Status {April 15 2006): not been started yet

Goal: Get India at the Cricket World Cup to be finished.

Started: April 8 2006
Status {April 14 2006): Almost done, just have to do 1999 and 2003.
Status (April 23 2006): Done.

Goal: Get Hannibal to FA Status.

Started: April 25 2006
Status (April 25 2006): Begun shortening the article and getting the article organized a bit.

Goal: Get Civilization IV to FA Status.

Started: April 25 2006
Status (April 25 2006): Begun trying to create an organized effort.

THE BIG ONE: Get Debaters Association Victoria, an article that I just started, to GA or possibly FA Status.

Started: April 25 2006
Status (April 25 2006): Just created the article.
