Bio[edit]

I'm (1979-present) a student living in Bremerton Washington. Raised in the suburbs of Boulder Colorado, I've lived in the Bremerton areas for 3 years. An ex restaurateur, I have decided to undergo a career change. In my free time I enjoy the outdoors, playing video games, Kung Fu movies, listening to heavy metal music, and gardening. I also collect rocks and coins, and I'm a die hard fan of the Denver Broncos.

I could see myself editing Wikipedia articles that are centered around my hobbies. I'm interested in editing or creating articles on Wikipedia that are about my favorite metal bands, or movies. I would also enjoy editing smaller articles about lesser known Denver Bronco players, or adding interesting tidbits about my favorite Kung Fu movies.

Article Critique[edit]

I have always been a fan of bands like Iron Maiden and Blind Guardian. As I have gotten older, I’ve found it difficult to find new bands that I enjoy. One band that I found that mimics the traditional heavy metal sound of the 80’s is the band Enforcer. I visited the Enforcer page of Wikipedia, and found three aspects of it worth commenting on: Its lack of citations, completeness, and age.

Citations[edit]

The entire article only contains two citations, and they pertain only to the first two Enforcer albums. Enforcer has a total of four studio albums plus a live album, and all could be easily cited. It also lacks citations for other information such as singles, demos, and current and past band members. It also needs citations for the claim that Enforcer falls under the genre of music known as New Wave Of Traditional Heavy Metal.

Completeness[edit]

Enforcer might not be the World’s most well known metal band, but their Wikipedia page is lacking. The history section of the article only mentions albums released by the band until the the year 2013. I would also note that the band was started by the Wikstrand Brothers, whose parents were also musicians, and that the brothers of been in bands together since the age of 5-6.

Age[edit]

The article does seem a bit out of date. The history section contains no information after 2013, and as Enforcer is still an active band, I’m sure that there is new information that could be added to the page. This information could include major tours completed since 2013, and new singles such as the single destroyer from the album of the same name. At the vary least the history page should be updated to included all of Enforcer's albums.

Summary[edit]

Overall the Wikipedia page on the band Enforcer is lacking. Seemingly out of date and lacking basic citations and general information, it makes you wonder if such a page for a metal band should even be on Wikipedia. Ultimately Wikipedia itself will decide on the future of this page, though bringing this page up to date will increase the likelihood of it being a page worthy of Wikipedia.
