Hey. Thanks for your improvements on Robert Marnock and Henry Reed (merchant). I'm new at all this and don't quite know all the formatting methods. I don't know if you are using some extra software of are just very diligent, but i appreciate your efforts! --McKDandy 21:22, 27 May 2007 (UTC)

Digital Nitrate Prize Deletion[edit]

Hello. We are trying to understand why this small but important article keeps getting deleted. It is a legitimate, not for profit organization supported by many prestigious film archivists and has an important purpose in motion picture preservation.

It is being supported by an increasing number of organizations, and is listed in all the search engines which it was not originally in 2006.

What, exactly, would you and others like to know to assure you that this is a real and crucial effort by sincere people?

Thank you. Movieresearch 22:18, 15 August 2007 (UTC)

Digital Nitrate Further Discussion[edit]

Hello. Thank you for replying in a reasonable way.

Can you please explain since, apparently, you are the gatekeeper, what, EXACTLY, you would want to know to "accept" the article?

Apparently, you are not familiar with the moving image archive field, or you might automatically understand that the AMIA is an important organization and that the discussion there -- even though it is on a listserv -- reaches all of the folks in that field.

Does it, for example, have to be in the New York Times?

This is an honest, simple question.

Thank you.Movieresearch 16:52, 20 August 2007 (UTC)

\scriptstyle[edit]

In this edit you got rid of several instances of \scriptstyle where either it or non-TeX notation is badly needed. Is there some reason for that? Michael Hardy 22:58, 23 August 2007 (UTC)

Martin Evans[edit]

You deleted a referenced line from this article. The reference was Martin Evans 2001 acceptance speech that he made for his Lasker award. Many famous people have their lives examined in detail and necessary for a proper study of the person, nevertheless, in-the-round I agree with your edit and I will not return the facts to the page. Perhaps a general comment might suffice, if a more up-to-date reference was found. Snowman 11:52, 8 October 2007 (UTC)

Stenson[edit]

Is Twyford really a village, but the larger Stenson a hamlet. And where (in WP) do I find the location of Sheet Stores Junction - Sawley I could probably manage. Bob (ex of Stenson Road) aka Linuxlad 21:06, 18 October 2007 (UTC)

Sheet Stores isn't in the MML article, only the more obscure Trent junction one, so I've slightly modified to make that link clearer - also reinstated a reference to the Sawley name, since that's what I always knew it by. As for hamlet v village - well, who am I to argue with an edict from Florida HQ :-) Bob aka Linuxlad 11:45, 19 October 2007 (UTC)

Channel Tunnel[edit]

Sorry I didn't follow the rules, I just wrote that paragraph as an opener for a school paper and I thought it was damn good piece of work. My friends prompted me to put it on the page, but I knew it would get deleted. Anyhow, thanks for the tips. Also, I think it's cool you went to Cambridge. I'm currently studying to be a Civil Engineer at Virginia Polytechnic Institute and State University Tripley 06:55, 6 November 2007 (UTC)
