Lillemor Sköld, is a contemporary artist born by the Arctic circle, in the north of Sweden.

She grew up with the midnight sun shining all through the summer and the Winters dark polar nights lit by moonlight and the northern lights. Perhaps this has formed a duality in her that shines through in her work, as her paintings often are fiery hot and expresses feelings through movement and colour, while her sculptures more often than not are compared to icy frozen moments weather they are made in clay, metal or glass.

Her artworks span from paintings - mostly in water colours or in the paint she herself makes that allows her to work in layers which gives the paintings an unusual depth- through handmade monochrome prints mostly on copperplate and over a wide range of sculpture materials.

Despite an accident in 2002 which left her with everyday pains and the fact that her production now is very limited her work nevertheless has found it's way around the globe and is appreciated in Europe, America and Asia as well as Scandinavia.
