This user's signature is:
your signature

Usage[edit]

{{User:Mandruss/UBX/Signature|sig=your signature}}
  • Copy the above text to your user page.
  • Replace your signature with three tildes (~~~), not the usual four, and save. This will insert your signature without the time and date stamp. Be careful not to alter or remove the sig= or the }}.
  • Since the signature is on your user page, its link to your user page is disabled. Other links, such as to your talk page, will likely still be functional.
  • Depending on how your signature is coded, the disabling of the link to your user page may change the appearance of the associated text. In this case, if you want the signature to look more like it does on talk pages, you must modify its code in your userbox. The required changes vary from one case to another, so you would have to figure that out on your own or seek help from someone else (e.g., WP:Help desk).

Example[edit]

{{User:Mandruss/UBX/Signature|sig=&#8213;[[User:Mandruss|<span style="color:#775C57;">'''''Mandruss'''''</span>]]&nbsp;[[User talk:Mandruss|<span style="color:#AAA;">&#9742;</span>]]}}

This user's signature is:
Mandruss

Note: Since this is not my user page, the link to my user page is not disabled.

FAQ[edit]

  • Q: Why is the image at the left so wide? That's wider than the standard width. Are you a moron?

    A: I found that, when the default width was used, the image was too small to be recognizable as (part of) a handwritten signature. I felt that was important. In answer to your other question, yes, I am a moron.

  • Q: Whose signature is that?

    A: John Hancock was a signer of America's Declaration of Independence. As noted in the lead in his Wikipedia article, his name has become synonymous with "signature"; as in, "If I could just get your John Hancock right here...". For this userbox, Hancock's signature has been cropped to make the remaining part larger, for the same reason as in the previous answer.
