The Mandalorian universe is a series of Star Wars live-action television series, originally created by Jon Favreau, for Disney+. The first season of The Mandalorian released on November 12, 2019, with a second season released on October 30, 2020, a third season set to release in February 2023, and a forth season currently in development. The Mandalorian has also launched several spin-off series; with The Book of Boba Fett releasing on December 29, 2021 and the upcoming Ahsoka series, set to release in 2023.
Pedro Pascal stars as the title character of Din Djarn / The Mandalorian , also reprising his role in The Book of Boba Fett, while The Mandalorian’s companion Grogu also stars in both series. Temuera Morrision first reprised his role as Boba Fett from previous Star Wars media, in the Mandalorian Chapter 9: The Marshal, and then went on to star as the lead of The Book of Boba Fett, alongside Ming-Na Wen as Fennec Shand. Meanwhile Rosario Dawson protrays fan favorite character Ahsoka Tano (for the first time in live-action) in featured roles in both The Mandalorian Chapter 13: The Jedi and The Book of Boba Fett Chapter 6: From the Desert comes a Stranger. Dawson will also star as the title character of the upcoming Ahsoka series.
The Mandalorian recieved very positive reviews from critics and the audience, in particular with Pascal's preformence, Favreau and Feloni's writting and directing and the introduction of fan-favorite character Grogu. Meanwhile The Book of Boba Fett was controversial among critics and the audience, in particar with Rodrigez's "weak" directing and script, however Chapter 5: Return of the Mandalorian and Chapter 6: From the Desert comes a Stranger recieved postitive reviews due to The Mandalorian's return.

Another spin-off show, titled "Rangers of the New Republic" was set to be released, however following the firing of Gina Carano, the series was cancelled. Additionally, Jon Watt's Skeleton Crew starring Jude Law will be set around a similar timeframe, however it is unlikely to crossover into The Mandalorian storys.
The series are set to lead to a "Cinematic" event.
