I saw that you recently joined Wikiproject Paranormal, I would like to know what type paranormal interests you have. (just out of curiosity, b/c I'm a paranormal researcher and co-founder of Wikipedia: Wikiproject Paranormal) Cheers, Mahogany Hello! My interests are quite varied. My expertise is is various forms of Folk Medicine and right now I'm contemplated some additions to the Pow-Wow page. I am not a 'true believer' nor am I a 'skeptic'. I prefer to be NPOV about the paranormal not just as a writer but out of respect for the individual in general. We all experience the world differently. One of my degrees is in Anthropology, so I suppose that explains my approach! I'd be happy to work any any Supernatural page that has ties to folklore including Cryptozoology. I've also done a fair amount of writing about the similarities between various tradtions of spiritual assault and Alien abduction. [edit]My work on Paranormal Project

Today I expanded the article on the Queensland Tiger a cryptid. The original article was just a stub and I feel I've fleshed it out well. I tried to link as much as possible to existing Wikipedia articles. In doing so I got sidetracked a little fixing and editing those articles!. I'm going to move onto another Cryptozoology topic now. I would like to invite you to comment on the NPOV of the David Icke article, I added a Template:NPOV tag, which was immediately removed by User:SlimVirgin. I feel that this action was unfair and limits a proper discussion and resolution to the problem of the over stated references to Icke and anti-Semitism. While I find many of Icke's conclusions distasteful, unhelpful and generally poorly researched I do not believe that the anti-Semitism issue should be so prevalent in a fair discussion of his ideas. As User:SlimVirgin has removed my NPOV tag and also stated that he/she will remove any further tags I add I am in a difficult position and I feel the best course of action is for another user to comment or replace the tag. With degrees in anthropology, archaeology and linguistics, you seem uniquely qualified to contribute to the 'third gender' article! I'm afraid I didn't respond to user:Masculinity in the most appropriate way, but I think I do have a sense of where this editor is coming from. Like Masculinity, I've also come across writing that tries to read historical 'third genders' through a gay/lesbian lens — namely, Zwilling and Sweet, who are referenced in the article; Ruth Vanita, who is not; and Amara Das, a gay Hare Krishna who is very active online. I guess I got a bit exasperated and should have paused and thought for a moment before responding. Anyway, with your expertise, you may be able to help with a few questions I have. Are you familiar with Çatalhöyük? I'm wondering just how far back we can find evidence of eunuch or gender variant priest/ess types. While looking at the stars, seen UFOs ? If, so, don't report them to the govt. at all or you'll be thought of as being crazy, read the Robertson Panel article. It is a safe bet that, since shrinks are used, this is the method of ridicule of people who have seen these "forbidden matters". The protocol was initiated by the CIA in 1952. I have a Popular Mechanics magazine, actually two of them, one talks about some more about the Robertson Panel, such as if you see a UFO while you are a kid, you are to be ignored outright. Martial Law 19:59, 25 August 2006 (UTC) I've been all over the US and have had some CE-1s. A good one was when I was in Florida. While there, this thing came out of a nearby bay, hovered in position for hours on end, was noiseless, literally dissappeared when a civilian plane, maybe a Cessna or a Piper Cub got too close to the object. The pilot and his/her passengers had got a better look at this thing than I did. I do'nt think anyone reported this one, because of the Robertson Panel protocol. Once while I was in AR, I had seen two "UFO Fleets",some solitary UFOs, this was going on while animals were being mutilated, and the farmers and ranchers were arming themselves, fixing old weapons. A LC Wyatt of Hope, Arkansas had lost several head of cattle to whatever was doing this, and he was armed, ticked off. I was involved in a grisly CE-3+, in which not only the family (was a kid @ the time of the CE-3+) had to deal with destructive UFOs, aliens, we also had to deal with trigger happy neighbors. I've learned that if "you" tell these people who lost cattle, the $500,000 stud racehorse to animal mutilation, feel that they have been ridiculed ( See Robertson Panel), "you" may get shot. I was in Fouke, Arkansas long ago when some idiot accused me of (polite) being a skeptic, nearly shooting me to make his point. He said that the skeptics had insulted him, other Bigfoot witnesses, the town in general. I was investigating the Fouke Monster incident at the time. I've visited Roswell, New Mexico as well, and the govt. "explanation" is not exactly truthful at all. My most recent encounter was in the middle of this month when all aircraft, other than the military were prohibited from flying, due to a terrorist plot. Seen one of those Flying triangles. Guess someone forgot to tell E? that they're not supposed to be doing that. While I was in Phoenix, Arizona, investigating the Phoenix UFO Incident of 1997, getting a $60,000 RV fixed, I had seen a UFO over the city. I grabbed my camera, shot a pix of it. Dear Lisapollison, Thanks for your comments on the Category talk:Psychics page, hopefully others will also comment. It's good to see someone with a healthy attitude towards 'scepticism'. While I respect and encourage fair and honest scepticism the uninformed tactics of individuals (normally quoting from and inspired by James Randi) are a huge waste of time and resources here. I personally come from the angle of Brian Josephson or Dean Radin, these individuals may be wrong, as many views on any area of science may be, but there needs to be an end to incorrect statements like there is no evidence or the extremely boring when are they going to claim the Randi prize, like Randi has any real standing in science (especially when compared to a Nobel Laureate in Physics). Hi lisa. Just stopping by because I saw your use of the 'ref' perameter on Road Troll, and I thought you might be interested in learning about the new version, Cite Web. This allows for full, in-line citations as you'd find in a research journal (now a requirement for an article to be rated Good or Featured). Here's how it works: after what you're adding the citation to, put the cite web template, along with whatever parameters are neccisary. Typically, you'll need the first three (though you can still add as many parameters as neccisary), so that'll look something like this: However, there's a second part needed as well, even if you choose to continue using just the ref parameter. At the bottom of the article, create a section entitled, "References", and in it, put simply:

This creates a full, printed out list of your references, so you don't just have the numbers in the article. I'll do this part on Road Troll so you can see how it works.
