Identity[edit]

Hello. I'm a new contributor to wikis. I am originally from the Buffalo, NY. I currently reside in Buffalo, NY where I am an assistant professor of Linguistics

Education[edit]

I have a PhD in linguistics and phonetics from UC Berkeley. My research encompasses all aspects of phonetics and phonology with a special focus on Mesoamerican languages and Mon-Khmer languages. For my dissertation, I spent 4 years doing fieldwork on the Trique language. I do research on tone and phonation type.

I speak 2 languages comfortably: English and Spanish. I speak French somewhat comfortably and Khmer somewhat uncomfortably right now (I've forgotten a bit).
