Alpha Delta Psi, a community service sorority, began as an idea thought up by Charlesa B. Etheridge in May of 2009 when she attended Job Corps. The idea was to bring about a sorority of sisterhood that would act as a support group for the community. She wanted the sorority to be an organization filled with diversity, and created for the personal growth and development of its members, to lead towards excellence.

         On September 10th, 2010, recruiting began and the organization got started. 

Alpha Delta Psi Sorority's aim is to enhance the diversity and overall excellence of it's members. Service, personal growth,and development are the focus areas of the organization's activities. Alpha Delta Psi helps its community.

Alpha Delta Psi is committed to service. The sorority is dedicated to helping those in need. Alpha Delta Psi values and promotes sisterhood with all activities. By becoming a member of Alpha Delta Psi Sorority, one will meet people who benefit from their help; those who will need you and enjoy the support from you when the going gets tough. The relationships created in this sorority are deeper than going to parties, more meaningful than wearing the same letters. They are about the growth and development of individuals, and the support that they give to the community and people around them. Each new member brings her unique talents to the Sorority and are always given the opportunity to help others in different ways.

Alpha Delta Psi's emphasis on excellence is expressed in its motto, "Good, Better, Best. Never Let It Rest. Until Your Good Is Better. And Your Better Is Best." The sorority is devoted to the betterment of its members. A member of Alpha Delta Psi is distinguished by her ever growing desire for improvement. Alpha Delta Psi provides support for the challenges faced by members and our families. Alpha Delta Psi is an organization comprised of diverse women.Alpha Delta Psi offers its members opportunities to develop and grow mentally, emotionally, and spiritually. Sorority activities provides an opportunity for friendships and creates bonds for a lifetime.
