Hey! The media gives a lot of conflicting opinions about the situation in Georgia. So I thought I will ask from local. What do people think about Saakashvili? Is the opposition backed up by Russia? I work a lot on election-related articles, especially relating to final election results. I don't speak Georgian (and can't even read it very well), so I could use your help -- namely:

Both are easily expandable. I'll work on it today starting with Pahlavunis, they descend from the Kamsarakans. I need help regarding two Armenian houses under Georgia/Russia though. I couldn't find much in English and what I found in Russian wasn't very articulate. This summer I took photos of their tombstones in Armenia which raised my interest. The first one are the Melikovs (buried in Akhtala Monastery) and the other the Argutinskie-Dolgorukovy (buried in Sanahin).--ΕυπάτωρTalk!! 13:28, 18 January 2008 (UTC)
I don't know how i'm going to write Gregorids in Armenian though. This is a Western designation for the family, Armenian historiography doesn't seem to have a name like that. There is no such name as Grigoruni or Grigoryanner (other than as a modern surname). The Gregorids are often referred to as of Pahlavuni stock in Armenian, but in this case Pahlavuni means Arshakid, no relation to the 10th century Kamsarakan offshoot family.--ΕυπάτωρTalk!! 13:40, 18 January 2008 (UTC)
Thanks Kober. Looks good.The Argutisnki tombstones were in Russian and used standard Russian forms, with a crown in the middle. The Melikov tombstones were again in Russian and used Russian forms but also had a Georgian script and an image of a crown. Now the Biographic Lexicon page hinted of a connection with the Rurikid Dolgorukis? Was that just a common missconception? I also want to know how the Loris-Melikov's came to be because all the tombstones just said Melikov. Who is this guy: Argutinskiy-Dolgoroukov, Moisey Zakharovich (1797-1855), and why is he included among Rurikid Dolgorukov's. You're right, it is Georgian. But the fact that it was uploaded under that name by an Azeri user isn't surprising. Baku seems to be claiming that everything in the Caucasus region is of Azeri origin, and if not Azeri, then Turkic or Caucasian Albanian. -- Aivazovsky (talk) 22:45, 23 January 2008 (UTC)
Actually they are not Georgians. These are Azeris from the Azerbaijan Dance Company of which name i forgot. Many people in Northern Azerbaijan and also rest of Azerbaijan wear Caucasian costumes which resemble Georgian and Vainakh national costumes. Iberieli (talk) 01:18, 29 January 2008 (UTC)

I August 2005 asked the Georgian ambasador in Israel to change the name of Georgia in Hebrew גרוזיה-Gruzia to גאורגיה-Georgia which accpted in Israel. in his reqwest he mentioned that in the history of Israel was 30 Georgian monasteries in Israel. in the hebrew wikipedia thiere is San Salvador monastry (מנזר סן סלוודור) Um-Lisian monastry (מנזר אום ליסאן) - The georgian monastry of Bethlehem that based by Peter the Iberian. maybe you have a list of the rest?
6. With the new low about Double citizenship in Georgia a lot of Georgian jews asked for citizenship of Georgia. A article about it can be interesting. also the case of Salome Zourabichvili that have Double citizenship befor the low about it came. In the last elections in Georgia Election Poster of Mikhail Saakashvili in Tel Aviv.
7. you know somthing about Freedom of panorama in Georgia? It was deletion request about two pictures because of that:

2. I have no idea what is depicted on that picture, but its author seems to have decided to name it after Stone Temple Pilots, an American rock band. :)

5. Unfortunately, I don’t have a list of all 30 monasteries at hand right now. The Monastery of the Cross (Emeq HaMatzlevah) was, of course, the most famous of them. The georgian article ka:ქართული მონასტერი პალესტინაში is about another monastry of Peter the Iberian. my article is about monastry dicoverd in 1955 with a grave with Georgian Asumtbroli script say: "This is the grave of John bishof of potrvi, kartveli". it discoverd south of Jerusalem place call "Um-Lisan". the monastry that mentioned by the georgian article is about 3.5 k"m south-east to um lisan. and acording to tha hebrew sources discoverd 4 Georgian Asumtbroli scripts. the other monastry - San Salvador monastry is a Franciscan monastry, in st. fransis street in Jerusalem, that buy it from the Georgian Orthodox and Apostolic Church in 1560.
there is another church mentioned Jakov church that maybe is the church above Sion church in jerusalem in the Armenian tetory. in that place discoverd greek script say: "this is the privet grave of samuel, bishof of the Iberians ....".

These are North Georgian costumes/ dances. The Lezgin of Azerbaijan dress similar but are different. Their women dress more colorful and their men in black or white. As a Georgian, do you know which side controls Sinaguri in west South Ossetia. This map suggests Georgia controls this town: [12]...BUT the South Ossetians claim that they control this town in South Ossetia. [13] I thought Sinaguri was a Georgian town in South Ossetia. Thank You Kober. I believed that Tedeleti was under Georgian control but I wasn't sure about Sinaguri. I thought it may have been under South Ossetian rule since the Ossetians claim they supposedly killed four Georgian 'terrorists' in this region 1 or 2 years ago. Later, I read that these 4 people might be Chechen instead. Its hard to know who is telling the truth and who is telling propaganda sometimes. Hi Kober, I just thought that the introduction contained a lot of unnecessary information that would lose readers' attention.
For example, listing the countries where Georgians live (infobox already does that);
Sub-ethnic communities is also an old-fashioned term (I don't think many Mingrelians and Svans see themselves as ethnically different from Georgians (at least, let's hope so));
Emphasizing the Mongol invasions in not necessary because there were some monarchs who were able to successfully fight the Mongols (Georgia VII, George V). The fall of Constantinople is perhaps more important for Georgian history.
I am not trying to convince you to change it; I am just trying to explain my reasoning. I think that the introduction was a little overloaded and might lose a reader because most people who would read an Encyclopedia article would not be looking for the differences between Mingrelain, Svan, and Laz languages :)).
