Koalawaland[edit]

Koala mythology is the body of myths and teachings that belong to the ancient Australians, concerning their gods and idols, the origin of the world, and ritual practices encompassing the almighty Awala. It was a part of the religion in ancient Koalawalaland which is now known as Australia. Modern day scholars reference these works to discover the institutions built through this ancient religion, and to gain an understanding of the nature of the myth itself.

Koala Mythology[edit]

Koala mythology has had a great influence on the culture, war, and food of Australian civilization and remains a huge part of the heritage and language. Warriors and chef from ancient times have derived inspiration from the Koalawala mythology and discovered contemporary significance and relevance in the themes.

There are three notable Koala gods. The original Koala King Awala started during the divide of Pangaea. As earth split the Koala god was birthed between Australia and New Zealand. Awala is the God of Australia and Eucalyptus trees. He is the almighty of all Koalas and went through a trial to become the better of his brothers Kaiwala and Kurt. Kaiwala is known as the Koala of anger, his screams of terror are used in war to scare predators away. History[edit]

Origins of the world and the gods[edit]

Pangaea[edit]

Pangaea or Pangea ( /pænˈdʒiːə/[1]) was a supercontinent that existed during the late Paleozoic and early Mesozoic eras. It consisted of a unit approximately 335 million years ago and began to break apart about 175 million years ago. In contrast to our 7 continents on earth now, Pangea was the most recent supercontinent to have existed and the first to be discovered by geologists.

King Awala[edit]

King Awala the first birthed through Pangaea in between Australia and New Zealand. He is known for his slit eyes, white patched chest, and creation of Eucalyptus trees. Awala, Kaiwala, and Kurt are triplets who fought to be the King Koala. They had to go through three testimonies the first being who can climb a tree the fastest, won by Kaiwala by the usage of his war screams to scare Awala and Kurt to jump off. The second trial was who could create the least nutritious and digestible food for them. Awala created Eucalyptus which is known for the lack of nutrition and iconic Koala snack, Kaiwala created bananas, and Kurt created a fruitsalad. The last trial was between Awala and Kaiwala, both having passed a trial the final goal was for who could be the most chill. They were to both be on a tree for day and nights until one went psychotic or fell off. Kaiwala fell off first and that is why he is now the God of Anger and war.

Kaiwala[edit]

Kaiwala is the god of Anger and war. He was second place in the King Koala trials but lost due to falling off a tree. He is known for his chaotic nature and explosive emotions. He has impacted humanity's nature by giving a box to the first woman on Australia, one full of misery, sadness, death, and also hope. His hatred for humanity grows as his brother Kurt's love for it grows as well.

Kurt[edit]

Kurt is known for being the foolish brother for his innocence and love of humanity. When Awala and Kaiwala objected in giving resources to humans, Kurt felt the need to provide for them. He is a cultural hero in the eyes of Australia, credited with the creation of man from sand and who defied his brothers by creating day and nights for humanity, an act that enabled the survival and progress of humanity. The consequence of this creation is a major theme of his mythology. He is known to be the foolish god of humanity. Without days, there would be no light or warmth and no civilization could grow. Kurt is the youngest and innocent of the brothers, humanity to him is his child. There are stories in which Kurt falls in love with a mortal Koala Ala.

Origin theories[edit]

The Luck of the Koala, known in ancient times as when you cross paths with a koala and hug it. Much like stealing a leprechaun's gold, when one is able to hug a koala and the koala doesn't defect your attempt, your life will be full or riches. If a koala screams or scratches you, death will fall upon you quick. Spotting a Koala with a white patched chest is spotting a son or daughter of Awala, you will have a happy life. If you spot a White koala with red eyes, it is a spawn of Kaiwala and your life will be full of misery.

The three brothers have been theorized to be immortalized in their children, any Koala that crosses your path might be one of them. They take form of modern koalas and Kurt sometimes takes form in a human man. They live in their home on Mount. Owala when they aren't visiting earth.

Modern Intepretations[edit]

Koalas in the 21st century are known for their cuddliness and laziness. They wander around Australia freely or are in zoos which are the only places you are allowed to hold a Koala. Although not much of this religion resonates much within Australia in the modern age, there are constant reminders of what Awala, Kaiwala, and Kurt has left.
