Zoe Brooks is an American college basketball player for North Carolina State Women's Basketball Team in the Atlantic Coast Conference.
Brooks attended Saint John Vianney High School in Holmdel, New Jersey where she was ranked the No. 4 Guard, the No.9 overall player in the class of 2023 by ESPN, 2023 McDonald's All-American, 2023 Naismith Girls' High School All-America Team.
At the youth international level, Brooks has been apart of the 2022 Team USA Trials Participant and Finalist for the USA Women's U16 Team in 2021.
Early Life and High School Career[edit]
Brooks was born on March 12, 2005, in Plainfield, NJ. She started playing basketball at age five. She began playing AAU basketball at age 9 with New Jersey Sparks until age 15 where she then finished her youth career at Philly Rise EYBL.
As a four-time All-State honoree, Brooks played a pivotal role in leading her high school team to a prestigious NJSIAA Tournament of Champions title. In her senior year, she showcased her versatility by averaging an impressive 22.5 points, 6.6 rebounds, 5.5 steals, and 4.1 assists per game. These stellar performances garnered the attention of scouts, and she was bestowed with the honor of being named the 2023 National Player of the Year by SB Live.
Brooks' achievements extended beyond the high school realm, as she participated in various prestigious events. Notably, she clinched victory in the 2022 WNBA Skills Challenge[1], partnering with former Oregon standout Sabrina Ionescu. Additionally, she represented her country as a member of the 2023 USA Women's Nike Hoop Summit Team and was a participant in the 2022 Team USA Trials, where she reached the finals for the USA Women's U16 Team in 2021.
College Career at NC State[edit]
Zoe Brooks continued her basketball journey at North Carolina State University[2], where she joined the Wolfpack as a freshman.
