Hi! I am John Patrick Conor Ryan.

In real, non-wiki life I'm a tech exec, have been living in Taipei, Taiwan and Marin County, California.

I worked at Google [x] (2013 - 2015), and I've worked at the Internet Archive, and I founded several startups: WireTheWorld, Deep Futures Consulting, and a cyber security project. Those are completely unrelated to any editing I do here.

I am married to Mary Lou Jepsen. I occasionally do write edits into her profile, but only where I am 100% sure that the changes are necessary and are both true and provably true from outside sources. (So, for instance, I know her birthdate, but can't prove that from public records, so her age is shown as in a range. I won't touch that.) I am happy to accept guidance on this level of editing that is beyond the Wikipedia guidelines.

For the most part - I'm happy to groom and edit pages for logical structure, grammatical flow, correcting or supplementing vocabularies, adding or correcting links, correcting typos (typoes?). I do these sometimes anonymously.
