Crossover thrash (sometimes referred to as Punk metal) is a a fusion genre between both thrash metal and hardcore punk. The name refers to the fact that most crossover bands started as hardcore punk nad gradualy moved into a more thrash metal influenced sound. The term was coined by D.R.I on thier album Crossover[2]. Other notable crossover bands include Corrosion of Conformity[3][4][5]Nuclear Assault, S.O.D[6], Suicidal Tendencies[7], Cro-Mags[8], and Agnostic Front[9]
