When NOT promoted, perform the following:

1. Place the following text at the bottom of the WP:FPC/subpage:

   {{FPCresult|Not promoted| }} --~~~~ [[Category:Ended featured picture nominations]]

2. Move the nomination entry to the top of the "Recently closed nominations" section.
3. Move the nomination entry to the bottom of the May archive.

When promoted, perform the following:

1. Place the following text at the bottom of the WP:FPC/subpage:

   {{FPCresult|Promoted|Image:FILENAME.JPG}} --~~~~ [[Category:Ended featured picture nominations]]

   • Replace FILENAME.JPG with the name of the file that was promoted.

2. Move the nomination entry to the top of the "Recently closed nominations" section.
3. Move the nomination entry to the bottom of the May archive.
4. Add to Template:Announcements/New featured content.
5. Add to Wikipedia:Goings-on.
6. Add to Wikipedia:Featured pictures thumbs.
7. Add to the appropriate section of Wikipedia:Featured pictures and update the count.
8. Add to the proper sub-page of Wikipedia:Featured pictures.

   The caption should read "Description at Article, by Photographer".

9. Update the picture image page with (replacing image_name with the nomination page name): {{FeaturedPicture|image_name}}
10. Make sure that all articles contain the Featured Picture version of the image.
11. Nominator: {{subst:PromotedFPC|Image:file_name.xxx}}
12. Creator: {{subst:UploadedFP|Image:file_name.xxx}}
