Paul Buskirk (1923–2002) was an American multi-instrumentalist musician from Mineral Wells, near Parkersburg, West Virginia. Paul was the youngest of three boys born in a musical family to Everette and Lottie Buskirk. The Buskirk family band played on WPAR Parkersburg and WMMN Fairmont throughout the middle-1930s.[1]

A leading figure in western swing and southern jazz, Paul played mandolin, resonator guitar, mandola, banjo, tenor banjo, and guitar on numerous albums and countless television appearances in support of acts such as: Roy Acuff, Chet Atkins, Gene Austin, Lefty Frizzell, the Louvin Brothers, and Herb Remington.[2]

He was an early friend and supporter of a Willie Nelson, and they released numerous albums together, including: Night Life, Somewhere Over the Rainbow, and Nacogdoches amongst many others.[3]
