03Nov06: The aviation database at www.CheckIn.org has been online since 1992 in CompuServe and published on the Web since 1995 at CheckIn.org. It has ever since been the only website, containing address and contact reference to sll airlines and airports worldwide (as far as I found information somewhere), not limited to ones having an own website, or being member of a certain association.
It is currently being transformed into a Wiki, which is due to be released sometime later this year. As it contains +30.000 pages and the layout will be very much enhanced, I appreciate your patience!
The Wiki uses Mediawiki-technology and is expressely meant to 'complement Wikipedia with commercial data used by travel experts. It is not in any way meant to compete with Wikipedia! In fact it references and recommends a strong use of Wikipedia and Wikimedia Commons!
