Betacommand's example fair use rationale for albums (originally from Image:BizarreRideIIthePharcyde.jpg)[edit]

My minor adaptations:

Album[edit]

==Fair Use Rationale for the article [[]]==
*The cover is used to represent an album, ''[[]]'', by a well-known musician, [[]]
*This image has been used in several websites, and so its use on Wikipedia does not make it significantly more accessible or visible than it already is
*The image is of low resolution
*The image is being used in an informative way and should not detract from the album
*The image does not limit the performer or record company's ability to sell the album
*The only purpose of the image is to help describe the album ''[[]]'' and no other purpose

Logo (from a different example)[edit]

==Fair Use Rationale for the article==
# The material is not being used in a manner that would imply endorsement by or for the logo's respective company
# No free equivalent will ever be available or could be created that would adequately give the same information.
# The image is of low resolution, which does not interfere with this logo by its respective company in trade
# The image used for educational and informational purposes by Wikimedia Foundation, a non-profit organization.
# The logo is the consistent visual representation of the company; it identifies and describes [[]] in a way that words cannot

If this rationale is not adequate, please tell me '''specifically''' what is wrong with it before moving to delete the file and I '''will''' try to improve it.

Badlydrawnjeff[edit]

User:Badlydrawnjeff/fur (modeled on the one from Amazon.com)

Fair use in [[]], taken from the requisite listing at Amazon.com, which was provided to them by the requisite holder of the distribution license:

  1. The image is being used for the article about [[]].
  2. The image is the most logical representation of the [[]], [[]].
  3. It is of a lower resolution than the original, and will not affect the ability to market or profit off of the [[]].
  4. No free images of or representative of the [[]] can be found, and does not infringe on the rights of the holders of the copyright, who either produced the image or owns the rights to the item this image illustrates, and is the source for the original said copyrighted image.
  5. The image is used on a variety of websites, thus not making it significantly more accessible or visible than it already is. The [[]] image is being used for informational purposes only, and its use is not believed to detract from the original in any way.
