- In 1820 Joseph Selden open a store at the location. This was run by various people until ~1880
- In 1815 a tavern was opened on the property.
- In 1865 the tavern was turned into a farmhouse until ~1879
- In 1884 all that was left in Colt's Station was a schoolhouse, liberty pole, and 2 small dwellings.

- The buildings as they currently stand were built in the 1940's

- Sometime in the 1960's the corner building was turned into a gas station

- In the mid 1990's a new owner opened the "corner store", as it was nicknamed, and eventually started renting movies and ski equipment. The business closed in 1998 and sat vacant for 3 years.

- The property where Colt's store was located is now a private residence. The restaurant is leased and operates for breakfast and lunch, and dinner on weekends.
