An Ephrathite. I have a great deal of reverence for Jews and Samaritans, but I don't practice Judaism myself—I'm LDS. I have many Jewish friends, though I have historically encountered a great deal of harassment from Haredim on the Internet.
High-functioning autistic, with a theory of mind mutually alien from that of most neurotypicals. I regard it as a different condition, and not a disorder nor a disease (though the realities of having an alien theory of mind in a neurotypical world effectively amount to a handicap). Please keep all this in mind when working with me.
Totally gay. Deal with it. I also believe in chastity outside marriage and monogamous fidelity inside marriage. Deal with that too. However, though I believe in the holiness of the Church, I believe the Church's temporal organization of mortals currently has far too much mortal cultural prejudice against queer realities and dignity, so I am interested in Affirmation.
Heavily involved in linguistics, particularly the Canaanite languages and the Fuyu languages.
A firm supporter of the Hawaiian ʻokina and kahakō. I was born in Hawaiʻi and prefer the Hawaiian English standard (which mandates ʻokina and kahakō in all words of Hawaiian origin) where its conventions conflict with those of other English standards. I created the {{okina}} template to ease the ʻokina's integration into Wikipedia articles.
