Who am I[edit]

I live in the Twin Cities of Minneapolis and St Paul, Minnesota. Since 1997 I've been active in the Minnesota Transportation Museum, especially doing steelwork in their restoration shop. Having a large number of GN streamlined passenger cars to "knock my head against" made me into a bit of an enthusiast, and in 2001 I purchased my own to restore. See the link to my restoration web site below.

Prior to 1987, when I started college in Northfield, Minnesota, I lived in Des Moines, Iowa. I have and have had family in Des Moines, Dubuque and Sioux City, and near Oelwein - all in Iowa.

My railroading interest has been lifelong, and although everything fascinates me I try to focus on the railroads serving Iowa and Minnesota - just to keep the library manageable.

Professionally I am a software engineer, making my living customizing SAP Netweaver products for my employer. In previous lives I administered Novell Netware and Vax VMS, tinkered with Windows 3.1, and messed around with hardware powered by 8-bit Intel CPUs.

Wikipedia[edit]
