Anatoliy Teleshov (Russian : Анатолий Васильевич Телешов; 4 November 1928 – 23 July 1990) - Soviet - Russian painter, Honored Artist of the Russian Federation , and a member of the Artists Union of the USSR.  He lived and worked in Vladivostok and is recognized  as one of the founders  of the Primorsky region School of Painting. He  was born in 1928 in a small town of Klintsy in central Russia. At the age of six he was brought by his parents to the Russian Far East. After graduating from Vladivostok Art College in 1952, he continued his art education under the supervision of notable Moscow painters  at the Akademicheskaya Dacha named after Ilya Repin, where he developed his unique painting style, a combination of an impressionistic technique with a realistic vision of nature.

Biography[edit]

1928 Anatoliy Teleshov was born  on the 4th of November in Klintzi town, Russia
1934 The family moved in Primorsky region.
1947-1952 The years of studying at the Art College in Vladivostok. His teachers in painting: Michael Kostin and Vasiliy Zdanovich.
1952-1954 Teleshov worked as a school teacher of drawing in secondary school 37, Vladivostok
1952 Teleshov entered the professional group of artist “Vsekochudoznik".
1954 His first visit to the Akademicheskaya Dacha named after Ilya Repin took place. Teleshov would work here several times during the following decades.
1961 The artist joined the Artists Union of the USSR.
1962-1975 He became a member of the Board of the Primorye Department of the Union of artists of the USSR
1968 Participated in the Congress of Artists of Russia in Moscow
1970 Since that time he would spend every warm season in Andreevka Village, Primorskiy region
1975-1982 и 1984-1988 Teleshov was elected to the post of the Chairman of the Board of the Primorye Department of the Union of Artists.
1980 Teleshov was awarded the title of Honored Artist of Russia
1981–1982 и 1984-1988 Teleshov was elected as a member of the Artistic expertise committee.
1985 Teleshov participated in work of the United Plenum of the Board of the Union of Artists of the USSR in Moscow
1990 Teleshov died on the 23d of July, buried in the Marine Cemetery in Vladivostok.

Teleshov’s works have been displayed at 75 group exhibitions in Russia and abroad.
