History[edit]

Origins

Decision Intelligence was founded in April 2002 by Bill Flach, Deb Campbell, and Randy Erdahl. The three originally worked together at Fingerhut until the company announced its liquidation on January 15, 2002.

The first prototype developed and launched by Decision Intelligence was its predictive modeling software. It provided tools to streamline and structure a company’s data mining process. Using a new best practices approach to data mining allowed strong predictive models to be built with minimal labor.

Decision Intelligence quickly developed several additional consulting engagements and product offerings, including Census data solutions, customer-centric contact optimization solutions, customer contact data management and an analytical roadmap.

Current Status

In May 2006, Decision Intelligence received $5 million in venture capital funding from the Hurlbut-Zeppa Investment Partnership. Decision Intelligence is using the money to develop Web-run applications based on the company’s custom analytic algorithms. The first suite of products, Clario, was launched in October of 2007, and is offered as a software as a service (SaaS).

On October 16, 2007, Decision Intelligence launched Clario, its first software as a service platform a secure, web-based tools used by database professionals and analysts.
