DrDaveHPP became a Wikipedia user some time in 2004. It was two years before he created this user page, on 3 September 2006.

His academic qualifications include a doctorate in Modern History from the University of Birmingham. His thesis was entitled The Volksschule in National Socialist Germany with special reference to Hamburg, and was submitted and accepted in 1991.
