Amaranthe is a power/melodic death metal band from Sweden. Previously known as Avalanche, the band was formed in 2008 by the lead guitarist of Dragonland, Olof Morck. In 2009 they changed their name and released their first demo, Leave Everything Behind. Recently, the band has released their first single and music video Hunger which will be included, as well as all the songs in the first demo, in their first and self-titled album, released on April 13, 2011.
