I am a military brat (AF), and joined the military (navy), traveled a lot and so I consider myself a world citizen. I've spent more of my life in Dayton, Ohio so I consider that my home town although I was born elsewhere in Ohio. My love for Japanese Anime led me to Wikipedia as it had an enormous amount of articles on the subject. Before I'd buy a series that looked interesting I'd check it out on Wiki, and also read reviews on the old animeondvd.com. I became a contributor at first to correct grammar in certain articles written by non-native English speakers, or add certain tid-bits here and there that I felt relevant. A few times I went to Wiki to learn something, just to find it was not there, like the reason they named the Toyota hybrid car the Prius. I did the research and created my first etymology section. It was like planting a seed. It was amazing how quickly that was fleshed out and learned the co-operative nature of Wikipedia.
