About Me

Note: This section (and the userboxes) need updating due to being out of date - I have now graduated from the course mentioned below and other events/matters need to be reflected.

I'm currently a Masters (MSc) student in National Security and Disaster Management in the UK, currently specialising in how public inquiries fit within the Disaster Management Cycle in a UK setting. I previously studied Politics, International Relations and Diplomacy and graduated with a 1st Class BSc (Hons) in 2022, with my dissertation analysing the development of civil defence policy in the UK and the vulnerability to the country now.

Alongside my education, I also volunteer with St John Ambulance (England) where I work in the Emergency Preparation, Resilience and Response Team mainly within a regional scope but I do also advise and contribute at a national level around EPRR-related policies and lesson learning.

I have also got six years of experience working with student unions, with two years spent in my former sixth form union and then four years with my university union. Within this work, I have set up and led a university debate society for three years, submitted evidence to a parliamentary committee and contributed to a handful of university and student union policies.
