United States[edit]

States entirely more than 400 miles west of the Atlantic or 500 miles north of the Gulf on the Atlantic side are not included here as most storms have dissipated or recurved by then. Also no states north of California are included on the Pacific side.

Canada[edit]

No provinces west of Ontario are included as storms almost always recurve long before reaching the western regions. Îles de la Madeleine are separated from the rest of Quebec due to a higher occurance of separate storms.
