Charlie Souza is a bass player, vocalist, writer, producer in the business over four decades with music released on Columbia Records, Atlantic Records in Los Angeles, Polydor, Fantasy Records, Laurie Records in New York, Phoenix Records in Europe and now independent Souzaphone Records.

In late 2006 Charlie performed with The Young Rascals Gene Cornish and Bill Pascali formerly with the Vanilla Fudge. In 2007 Charlie joined The New Rascals with Dino Danelli, Gene Cornish and Bill Pascali. The New Rascals recorded a live DVD on May 10, 2008 for Century Productions in Sayreville New Jersey. http://newrascalsreloaded.com

Charlie has also toured, collaborated and recorded with Tom Petty, Bill Champlin of Chicago, Joe Walsh pianist Rocke Grace, Jim Horn, Greg Allman, Cactus, White Witch, Gale Force with producer Wayne Henderson of The Jazz Crusaders, Fred Willard, "Fortress" on Atlantic Records, Native American actor Floyd "Red Crow" Westerman, Santana keyboardist Leon Patillo, and the Darrell Mansfield Band. In the new millennium, Souza teamed up with former Robin Trower & Sly & The Family Stone drummer Bill Lordan, with saxophonist Adrian Tapia of Boz Scaggs band and Eric Turner from Fortress and The Tropics on Live Your Dream and 9 Ball in the Corner Pocket. These two CD albums were recorded in Hollywood and Anahiem, California. Souza's New Tropics also recorded the CD Livin' in Paradise in Tampa Bay area recording studios including Big 3 Studios St. Petersburg and MCR Studios Tampa. This album includes the song Carry me Back to St. Petersburg which won the official city song contest October, 2009.
