Carlos Blanco was born on March 7, 1986 in Coslada (Madrid). He began to speak when he was 7 months and to read at 2, writing his first essays on natural history when he was 4. He studied on his own several ancient languages, including Egyptian and Summerian, and he was admitted as a member at the Spanish Association of Egyptology when he was 11 years old. After getting the highest mark in the official course of Middle Egyptian language, he was declared by the Spanish national newspaper El Mundo as the youngest living Egyptologist, when he was 12. He started to collaborate with national and international mass media, and became largely famous as a child prodigy.

In the same year he proposed a way to decipher the Phaistos Disk, and he received a scholarship from the Egyptian Government to study Arabic. From 1999 onwards he had his own section in a very popular Spanish magazine, Crónicas Marcianas, which made of him the most celebrated gifted child of his country. He participated in TV programs in Egypt and Argentina and in colloquia with gifted children. In 2000, he went to Westminster School, London, where he got acquainted with Russian and Chinese. He is now a student of Chemistry, Theology, Philosophy and Russian at the University of Navarre (Spain), and he belongs to the International Association of Egyptologists.
